Our hand-hewn beams are 150-200 years old.


  • Hand-hewn refers to the process of squaring off a round timber using only hand-held tools such as saws and axes.

    • The tool is formally called an “adze” (pronounced ads)

  • Hand-hewn beams make incredible fireplace mantels and decorative pieces.

  • They can be washed and brushed upon request.

    • This create a smooth finish with no splinters while maintaining the rustic appearance.
