Our collection of hand-hewn beams started over 50 years ago.
And like most things in this world, it started because a woman wanted something…

Our hand-hewn beams are 150-200 years old.
Hand-hewn refers to the process of squaring off a round timber using only hand-held tools such as saws and axes.
The tool is formally called an “adze” (pronounced ads)
Hand-hewn beams make incredible fireplace mantels and decorative pieces.
They can be washed and brushed upon request.
This create a smooth finish with no splinters while maintaining the rustic appearance.
